In the years 1860-70, our grandfather Luis Egger (1920-1983), fruit wholesaler and owner of the renowned Lanahof Guesthouse, the blue house in the village centre of Lana, constructed the Braunsbergerhof in a beautiful panoramic position above Lana for his wife Anna Kiem-Egger (1920-2006) from Feigenstauderhof in Algund.

Our mother Irene Egger-Herz managed the business together with her mother for 10 years, and another 10 years on her own, but always with great effort and with love for detail. In 1989, our father Peter Herz, butcher and owner of the traditional butchers in the arbours of Meran, joined the business.

Now, the children Veronika and Hannes, are the third generation to manage the hotel together with their parents, after completing the Hotel & Catering School Kaiserhof in Meran and after various experiences in foreign countries. We give our heart and our soul in order to make sure our hotel has a successful future.
