Playing minigolf, eating an ice-cream on the cure promenade in Meran, participating at a traditional event or visiting the many cultural treasures in South Tyrol. These are only a few of the activities that make summer in South Tyrol and Meran & environs a highlight. Minigolf is a popular holiday activity for families with children. In Lana, Schenna, Dorf Tirol and Meran there are great minigolf courses, which are open to the public and guarantee fun for everyone.
In case of nice weather we recommend a comfortable walk on the cure promenade in Meran and under the arbours of the city. The enchanting archways await you with many shops and boutiques. During a walk on the renowned cure promenade you will be accompanied by the calming splashing of the Passer River, and the ice-cream from Italian production will simply make your stay in this authentic spa town perfect. Those who love plants and pleasure lovers should visit the enchanting botanical gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Meran. The gardens can be reached by foot or with the bus from Meran. It is a natural amphitheatre with a surface of 12 hectares and a difference in altitude of 100 metres. The coloured and impressive fauna and the many interactive stations make the botanical gardens a special experience during a stay in South Tyrol.
Numerous events are organised in the villages of Meran & environs during the summer months. In Lana, on Thursdays the shops are open until late at night, and on the streets you enjoy music, culinary delights and a wonderful atmosphere. You can participate at this event in the spa town Meran on Tuesdays, and in Schenna on Wednesdays. At the reception we are always pleased to provide more leisure time tips for Meran & environs.
